Meet a Reviewing Mama:
You have probably heard or been a part of the public relations trend among bloggers. I’m not sure about the longevity of it, or the effectiveness of it, but the blog world has been overrun with companies wanting to GIVE AWAY their products to YOU! Even on my small mommy-blog I get offers of different books, CD’s or memberships to review. And I have it clearly posted on my site that I have LESS than 100 readers subscribed! Why do they STILl want to give me stuff? It is because I’ve been posting regularly for 2.5 years. I have SOME readers, and likely the readers that will turn out to be buyers because they relate to me in a personal way. For most of my readers, outside of my family, we are all in the same space of life – moms with kids, some in school, some at home. Most of us are overwhelmed with the responsibility of it all, or underwhelmed by the boredom of it all. Either way, when I review a product, the audience has a relationship with me – that, my friends, is word-of-mouth-advertising – the most effective kind. So, keep up the blogging! Keep making friends and reaching out to others in your niche. In my opinion, it is the best part of blogging!
