Which nut do you notice? {not that you're a nut}
I’m reading through Trust Agents by Chris Brogan and Julien Smith. So far, I’m at Chapter two… where they talk about Christopher S. Penn, the Financial Aid Podcaster. In 2005, the products they sold (student loans) were highly regulated by the government. What they said, claims they made, the pricing – all of it was tightly legislated. So what did they do?
Something different.
Says Christopher Penn,
…we couldn’t win on price. We couldn’t outspend our competitors on advertising. So we looked for places where our competition wasn’t, and one of those places was new media.
