Best of DSWP 2009

It is hard to summarize such an amazing year at DSWP. Thanks to the amazing Heather Jacobson who founded this venture, and thanks to all of you who trust me with your online treasures, it has turned into one fantastic year!!

I think the best way to summarize would be to list some of the new resources for you that we’ve established this year. Granted, you’ve been frustrated with the login procedure for the Members site, and some of these newly offered services have come with growing pains, but even so you’ve been so loyal and encouraging! Some of you have become friends, and I just couldn’t do this job without your support!!

So, onto the things you might want to check out, if you haven’t already: (click on images for larger view)

  • Sign in with your email address & password:

To reset your password, type a bogus password, and click on ‘login’; it will create a new screen with a “reset password” link.   Or, you can contact me, and I can send you the reset password email and you can click on that link to proceed with a new random password.  Unfortunately I cannot see your password or set it to your requested password.  You can though – just follow the instructions on the screen!

I have had many questions on how to upgrade a service, or where to change the address information.  Here’s the short & sweet map of your private client screen:

A note about the forums: This is one of those growing pains I was talking about.  Unfortunately the forums are still in Beta, and are not ready for public consumption!  I have put about 2 days worth of answered emails (approx 17 questions) in there so far, and I’ll keep working on it so that you can easily find information without waiting for my reply.  And I’ll be in the forums a lot to answer questions and just hang out with you all.

Newsletter: I absolutely adore creating newsletters.  Do you think its an illness?  :)  It is just fun to put all the information together and have it all styled so differently and succinctly.  And I love that all of you actually chose to get the newsletter – you’re my captive audience!  In that light I want to make it as useful to you as possible, I’m always open to suggestions and questions that you’d like included.  January will include a coupon for 10% off any services (except hosting and domain names).

Created by Popular Demand: the Maintenance Plan, don’t worry about a thing – every 6 months I will visit the site, upgrade it, look after plugins, delete extra overhead, check the backup plugin, and make suggestions for further development of your site.

You’ve done an amazing… and i mean UH-MAZE-ING… job with this. You’ve done far more than I ever could have with it and I’m tickled to watch you from afar. It makes my heart smile to see you grow and succeed and to finally start believing in yourself. :)

Here’s to a great 2010. You’re going to do bigger and better. And I’ll still be here… watching from afar… because whereas you didn’t really see yourself where you are, I didn’t see myself where I am. And there are days that I love it and days that I hate it.

But in the end? We are right where He wants us. And that’s okay too!

Love you and wish you the BEST of success! I know that you can do it!
